One of Wayne’s interests is building and racing cars. He always has a pet project on the go. Take a look at his latest project an off road Tough Truck 4WD!
Some of Wayne’s racing highlights are:
- 2002/2003 Competed in Sprint Car V8 Series at Western Springs in own built car.
- 2002 Built CJ40 Toyota Land cruiser V8 Modified 4×4 – Won ‘Best custom Built car presented by NZ 4WD Association.
- 2006/7 Built & competing in TOYOTA LANDCRUISER Winch truck
Competition highlights in South Africa:
- Built and raced in SA – Modified V8 Super Series Championships
- Won 9 races, Placed in series 1996 2nd, 1998 7th, 1999 3rd.
- Raced in SA Formula Atlantic at Kailami- 3rd overall
- Raced in SA Formula GT at Kailami – 7th overall
- Sponsored by Bridgstone, Camel, Winston and own company BMW Supertech, Northcliff.
- Motorbikes – Built and raced in Enduro Classes
- Completed ‘Roof of Africa’ in 1998 finishing 35/700
- Won Mabatu 500 Enduro in 1997
