Once the standard
vehicle manufacturer’s warranty expires, often after 3 years or 100,000kms,
you have nothing to protect yourself from expensive vehicle repair
costs.
Smartcover’s
Mechanical Breakdown Warranty protects you and your family from financial
hardship should an unexpected insured mechanical or electrical failure
happen.
The Warranty covers
the cost of parts and labour required to rectify the mechanical and electrical
breakdown of insured components. It also reimburses you for the
reasonable cost of towing your vehicle to the nearest authorised repairer*;
for the reasonable cost of hiring a substitute vehicle*; and for your
alternative accommodation costs*. 24-hour 7-day roadside assistance is
also included in the cover.
Warranty terms of one
and two years are available, with a choice of either $100 or $200
excess. With finance available, weekly payments start from just
$16.45. The Warranty may also be purchased
outright.
What am I covered
for?
Smartcover’s
Mechanical Breakdown Warranty protects you against sudden and unforeseen
failure of a wide range of mechanical and electrical components, including:
the Air Conditioning, Braking System, Clutch, Cooling System, Differential,
Drive Assembly, Electrics, Engine, Fuel System, Manual and Automatic
Transmissions, Overdrive, Safety Air Bags, Steering Gear, Suspension, Transfer
Box and Turbo Unit. The main mechanical and electrical components
excluded are batteries, shock absorbers, wiring harnesses, audio equipment,
air bags and exhaust systems.
